Where it stands

In development. The calculator, comparison, ask builder, scripts, practice mode, one-page summary, outcome log, backups and offline license are built and tested. The final name, price and store aren't decided yet.

Counter puts every part of a job offer on one line in pre-tax dollars (pay, bonuses, equity, retirement match, health premiums, time off and commute) and lines up to three offers against your current job. Pro adds an ask built only from facts you entered, a fallback ladder for when base pay won't move, email and phone scripts, and practice replies. It never makes up a number.

Who it's for

Anyone holding a job offer with a few days to answer. It's especially useful for hourly and non-tech roles, people changing fields, and anyone weighing an offer against their current job, where benefits can flip the answer.

What it does

• Every part of an offer on one line: salary or hourly pay with overtime, target and sign-on bonuses (with the repay-if-you-leave window), equity with vesting, the retirement match, the employer's health premium share, HSA money, time off at the daily rate, commute cost and remote stipends.
• Compare up to three offers plus your current job, line by line, for year one and as a four-year average.
• Find the base pay or hourly rate that would make one offer equal another.
• Pro: an ask built only from facts you enter, such as an offer you actually hold, your current pay or a market figure with the source you typed.
• Pro: a fallback ladder (sign-on bonus, equity, time off or remote days, then a title or an early pay review), each amount worked out and shown.
• Pro: email and phone scripts in three tones, text practice against common recruiter replies, and a one-page summary to print.
• A built-in fact check screens every sentence for figures you did not enter and for wording about an offer you do not hold.

What it keeps, and where

Everything stays on your device. No account, no server that receives your data, no analytics and no third-party code. Offer letters are never uploaded; you type the figures.

Update check (not active in current builds); Rewording with a local language model (off until you turn it on).

Questions

Do I upload my offer letter?

No. You type in the figures yourself, and they stay on your device.

Will it tell me what I'm worth?

No. Counter only works with numbers you enter. If you don't have an anchor, it suggests a modest step above the offer, which you can change, and it tells you that's what it did.
