Lanternwright makes software that works without an account, doesn't phone home unless you ask it to, and costs money once, if it costs anything at all. There are 11 things on the workbench right now. Netkeep reads the sales reports you already download from eBay, Etsy and Poshmark and works out what each sale really made after fees, shipping labels, refunds and what you paid for the thing. It tracks cost per item and per lot, expenses and mileage, and builds a year-end package you can hand to whoever does your taxes. It runs in your browser, works offline, and never asks for a marketplace login or a bank login.

Where it stands: Feature-complete for a first beta. Right now the report importers are being checked against real exports. After that it needs its production signing key and a proper read of the privacy and terms pages.

Who's making these

Right now Lanternwright is one person. Several of these tools started as things I built for my own game table and my own home server, and I kept polishing them until they seemed worth sharing. Then I kept going.

A lanternwright is someone who makes lanterns. It seemed like a nice thing to be named after.

What you can count on

Private by default: No accounts, no analytics, no ads. If a feature needs the internet, it says what it sends, and most of those are off until you turn them on.
Bought once: Paid features are planned as one-time purchases, never a required subscription, and free versions stay free. If you can't afford a license, several products plan a free one on request.
No nagging: No streaks, no fake countdowns, no guilt trips.
Accessible, and never as an upsell: Keyboard use, screen readers, high contrast, large text and reduced motion are planned in from the start, and none of it costs extra.
